    Topgolf is recruiting a data sleuth (formally we will refer to the role as HR Data Specialist) to join our HR Analytics team!  If you are an experienced and excellent problem solver motivated by working in an environment where you are encouraged to take a challenge from ideation through analysis and presentation to recommendation, this is the role for you!  With a current location count of over 49 venues and 18,000 associates (employees) and growing, our HR Data Specialist helps ensure we are evaluating HR information and finding impactful ways to support the business thorough the sharing of the data in a way that makes sense to various levels of audiences.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Compile standardized reports and data sets using multiple disparate data sources working within HR and cross-functionally with our teams in Technology, Finance and Operations, to name a few
    • Work with the internal stakeholders to translate business needs into a quantitative framework, identify available data, communicate findings and results, and develop implementation strategies to further support organization strengths and improve upon opportunities
    • Extract and transform data from existing data stores and create data assets for ad-hoc analyses, larger studies, and ongoing metrics
    • Perform exploratory and targeted data analyses using descriptive and inferential statistic methods
    • Generate reports, charts, graphs and other project artifacts to document, archive, and communicate your work and outcomes
    • Construct predictive models to explain and understand observed results, forecast expected behavior, or identify risk through scoring or clustering
    • Perform regression testing to provide historical insight to various conditions

    • Planning and Organizing - Establishes courses of action for self and others to ensure that work is completed efficiently



    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year college degree or equivalent relevant work experience required
    • 2+ years of progressively responsible experience in Data Specialist / Analytics / Science role
    • Expert level Excel skills required; experience working with Tableau, a plus
    • Working ability to remain effective under stress, responding to pressure in a manner acceptable to others and to the organization
    • Demonstrated capacity for gathering/scrutinizing data to identify issues, opportunities, patterns, and sustainable business solutions
    • Creative analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
    • Outstanding organizational, customer service and project management skills with the ability to communicate with and influence all levels of the business.
