  • Overview

    As the Inside Sales Manager you will be joining our fast-growing, dynamic sales team at Topgolf’s Home Office in Dallas. The position will launch and manage a new division within the sales department focused on supporting new venue openings by selling events prior to the local sales team being hired. The Inside Sales team will assist with over-flow leads during high volume times and actively pursue outbound sales efforts for select venues. The Inside Sales Manager’s responsibilities will include daily management and training of Inside Sales Consultants. This role reports to the Director of National Events.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Actively sell and guide a team of sales associates to ensure the team exceeds sales goals 
    • Recruit, hire, train and develop Inside Sales Consultant to attain their highest potential
    • Coach in the moment and during dedicated sales training sessions to improve salesmanship and overall sales technique of sales associates
    • Monitor calls using phone system and share reports with leadership
    • Monitor and respond to event sales inquiries summitted via for new venues as they are announced
    • Perform revenue forecasts and win/loss reports that illustrate the team’s overall performance
    • Utilize pacing reports and monitor booking trends and performance
    • Monitor Inside Sales Consultant daily, weekly, and monthly activities
    • Manage the work schedules of Inside Sales Staff 
    • Conduct weekly one on one appointments with Inside Sales Consultant to review sales activity 
    • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all clients and prospects using the Delphi CRM system 
    • Actively pursue outbound business development opportunities to increase leads and ultimately event sales revenues at select US Venues as chosen by Sales Leadership Team
    • Continually create and implement unique sales strategies and programs to drive new sales
    • Partner with Director of National Events and other departments to ensure Inside Sales Team has all necessary information to sell new venues (i.e. Construction – venue design, Marketing – sales collateral, Sales Systems Team – Delphi function space and item build out)
    • Attend weekly meetings with the Sales departments management team
    • Work closely with the Sales Leadership Team and Directors of Sales at all US Venues

    Key Qualifications

    • 3+ years of event sales experience in sports, hospitality, restaurant or entertainment industry with high performance, required
    • Bachelor’s Degree either in Sport Management, Business Administration or Marketing, preferred
    • Ability to communicate effectively with new guests, return guests, co-workers and management 
    • Strong computer skills, particularly with Excel, Word and CRM Applications
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to excel and multitask in a fast-paced environment
    • Responds quickly and effectively to changing trends and circumstances; embraces change and welcomes fresh perspectives
    • Motivated and driven individual who can positively work with and lead others
