  • Overview

    Topgolf is a fast-growing company in search of a talented instructional designer and Learning Management System (LMS) Manager to design and develop learning and practicing experiences for our Topgolf Sales teams including events and memberships. The goal is to facilitate learners in acquiring knowledge, skills and competencies in an effective and appealing manner. Collaborate with the National Director of Training and Analytics on program needs.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention and transfer 
    • Work with subject matter experts and identify target audience training needs 
    • Develop training curriculum and oversee/manage the design of all training material 
    • State instructional end goals and create content that matches them 
    • Conduct instructional research and analysis on learners and contexts 
    • Apply tested instructional design theories, practice and methods 
    • Create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc) 
    • Decide on the criteria used to judge learner performance, develop assessment instruments, and provide reporting on course completion 
    • Maintain project documentation and course folders 
    • Coordinate, manage and execute all necessary aspects of eLearning development and maintain an advanced understanding of trends and best practices 
    • Keep track of freshly uploaded relevant courses, materials, and workshops with in the LMS 
    • Create custom graphics and animations as needed to elevate the learning experience 
    • Ensure training content adheres brand guidelines and industry best practices

    Key Qualifications

    • An enthusiastic, self-starter who takes initiative in finding solutions to difficult and unique problems/opportunities
    • Must have a strong work ethic and commitment to teamwork
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects at a time
    • BS or MA degree in instructional design, educational technology or similar 
    • 3-5 years of instructional design experience including eLearning/multimedia development 
    • Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models 
    • Lesson and curriculum planning skills 
    • Solid knowledge of course development software and at least one Learning Management System 
    • Proficiency in Storyline and ability to storyboard 
    • Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio scripts/video scripts 
    • Experience with graphic design, video, micro-learning, responsive design, gamification, simulations, animation/motion graphics preferred 
    • Strong oral communication skills
