The Hospitality Sales Manager (HSM) is responsible for selling the exciting experience of Topgolf and work directly with our guests to book VIP reservations for 6-16 guests within approved booking timeframes. The HSC is expected to deliver excellent guest experience to inbound prospects and develop relationships through networking in the community to increase their sales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strives to deliver an unparralled guest experience from inquiry stage to post-event follow up.
  • Drives company revenue through selling VIP Reservations for groups of 6-16 attendees at event prices and required food and beverage minimum spends in adherence with booking timelines outlined by Topgolf management team.
  • Proactively engages in outbound sales activity in an effort to grow VIP Reservations. Measurable plans to be made in coordination with the DOS and Senior Hospitality Sales Manager’s direction for such activity.
  • Clearly communicates and follows-up with guests within timeframe required by Topgolf management.
  • Greets and escorts guests to assigned locations, communicates pricing details, shares details of guests’ needs with food & beverage staff, and when applicable assists staff with guests’ needs during visit
  • Assists at events concierge desk during assigned shifts to expedite seating, service, and event details.
  • Routinely follows-up with food & beverage staff to ensure required minimum spends are being met and guests are properly charged during their event or VIP reservation.
  • Partners with team to foster a “fun” and engaging work environment, leading by example.
  • Open and eager to learn new sales skills.
  • Works in collaboration with other departments.
  • Proactively strives to maintain high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency in the sales organization.
  • Works to ensure all organization objectives assigned by Sales leadership are completed in a timely fashion.
  • Proactively identifies opportunities for sales process improvement and communicates them clearly with Sales leadership.
  • Works in tandem with Operations Team to ensure flawless execution for ALL events. This includes all communication on any changes/updates to Events and VIP Reservations and any specific needs for a successful event based on the guests expectations

Key Qualifications

  • 5+ years of sales experience, industry experience strongly preferred
  • Undergraduate degree, preferred
  • Working knowledge of CRM programs
  • Proficient in coaching techniques and able to assist with training of junior team members
  • Knowledge of, demonstrates and teaches strong negotiation skills
  • Strong interpersonal, people and communication skills to include the ability to write and verbally communicate in a clear and concise manner
  • Solid organizational and project management skillsets
  • Capable of managing multiple projects/programs simultaneously, while remaining calm under pressure.
  • Excellent pace and energy, self-motivated
  • Strong ability to establish working relationships with all employees, management and vendors and ability to maintain and project professionalism, internally and externally, at all times
  • Exercises good judgment in decision making
  • Flexible in approach; can readily adapt to business and team needs and changes
  • Excellent self accountability for high personal standards of conduct and professionalism
  • Process-oriented, highly organized, fast and accurate, able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient knowledge of Word, Excel and Powerpoint
