Overview

The Sr. Manager HRIS is a new critical Topgolf HR leadership role! If you have always dreamed about having the opportunity to join an organization where you can guide and define a best in class HRIS landscape of the future…you may have found the ideal position!  With a current location count of over 37 venues and 13,000 associates (employees) and growing, our new HRIS leader will help ensure the Topgolf systems provide a best in class experience for all candidates, hiring managers, current and former associates. Our chosen Sr. Manager of HRIS will be responsible for system evaluation, assessment, implementation, maintenance and integration while providing insight to reporting and compliance.  This role is tactical and strategic.  Through the leadership of a small but remarkable team of two (including you!), you will have a chance to approach the objectives from a “roll up your sleeves” mentality and work style, having an impact on the fundamental HR technology used for years to come!  

 

Our core current systems include: ADP Vantage (Core HR and Payroll) and iCIMS (ATS), both with expiring contracts in 2018. We are also at the beginning phases of an implementation of a couple of modules within the Cornerstone platform (Compensation, Performance Mgmt and Succession). This is the ideal time to join our team to help determine our continued path forward with our HR technology platform(s) or suggest and lead the charge to bring forward even more effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manages and maintains HRIS and other HR systems, including account maintenance, security, optimization, upgrades, enhancement opportunities and projects related to system functionality and operability, including interfaces and related processes.
  • Provide input on the selection of HR applications and co-manage implementations and upgrades.
  • Partner with vendors and Technology Innovation (TI) group in the evaluation, development, testing, and rollout of integrations, interfaces, and upgrades to ensure system continuity and performance, resolve issues, etc. 
  • Maintain awareness of vendor plans and potential impact of ongoing system updates and changes, negotiate priorities with stakeholders to ensure minimal disruption and coordinate the usage/refresh of non-production environments
  • Design and coordinate User Acceptance testing including coordination of resources, documentation of issues found and follow up through resolution.
  • Provide support for HRIS including, but not limited to: researching and resolving problems, unexpected results or process flaws; perform scheduled activities; recommend solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.
  • Serve as internal consultant, as necessary, on system requirements and needs.
  • Train new team members on system usage and reporting functionality 
  • Collaborate with HR Leaders to set the vision for HR technology. Proactively define multi-year technology roadmap
  • Manage HR Workforce Analyst currently in role. Provide mentorship, growth and development opportunities as well guidance for continued progression within the organization
  • Deliver requirements for systems and projects assigned.
  • Gather business requirements from functional HR leaders, including tracking changes, analyzing proposed changes for impact to project schedules, coordinating review and approval of changes, revising any requirements documentation and User notification.
  • Lead systems change management team, made up of cross-functional HR Associates, to ensure configuration changes and system modifications are fully vetted (to include an impact analysis) prior to rollout.
  • Test requirements at all stages of the project, including functional validation and smoke testing of deliverables to ensure compliance with the functional requirements as specified.
  • Continually evaluate existing HR tools and processes; make recommendations for enhancements or improvements in support of strategic initiatives or as triggered by changes to available environments, technology, or business needs.
  • Develop subject matter expertise on the front-end and back-end data systems that support and interact with Topgolf HR systems, and the flow of data between those systems.
  • Document internal processes and audit procedures to ensure data integrity of systems. Responsible for regular monitoring of HRIS and other system data to mitigate errors and/or improve capabilities. 
  • Design and maintain end user and support team documentation; partner with the HR teams in the creation of training/ learning materials.
  • Develop complex custom reports utilizing varied and diverse data sources to support end-user requests and in continual audits to ensure data integrity.

Key Qualifications

BASIC AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE)

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year college degree or equivalent relevant experience required; Business Management related degree with emphasis in HR or Information Systems preferred
  • At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in HRIS, systems integration/ maintenance/ development, with extensive working knowledge of general business and HR practices required
  • At least 2 years of team management experience (direct reporting relationships)
  • Experience in a multi-unit entertainment, sports, restaurant and/or hospitality environment, preferred

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, JOB SKILLS, ABILITIES

  • Proficient academic and practical knowledge of technology and how it is applied to solve HR systems challenges.
  • Proficient working knowledge of general Human Resources including familiarity with all functional areas (Compliance/ ER, Org Development, Recruiting, Compensation, Benefits, Payroll)
  • Proficient knowledge of implementation and design of enterprise-scale HR applications, including business process redesign and user interface mapping, testing and deployment.
  • Effective project planning skills, including the ability to organize, prioritize and control multiple projects to meet deadlines
  • Proficient ability by interfacing with the user environment to perform post-implementation support and validation.

  • Proficient knowledge of implementation methodology, phases, and delivery of software

  • Demonstrated capacity for gathering/scrutinizing data to identify issues, opportunities, patterns, and sustainable business solutions
  • Outstanding organizational, customer service and project management skills with the ability to communicate with and influence all levels of the business and HR communities
