What You’ll Do


The Toptracer Range Installation Technician’s primary duty is to ensure proper installation of the Toptracer Range system at a new customer’s venue. The Technician is also responsible for communicating with the new customer on what parts make up the system and how they interact, and training the new customer’s staff on how to run the system.


Toptracer Range is a camera-based ball-tracking technology and gaming platform that transforms the driving range experience for consumers and the businesses for driving range owners and operators. The successful candidate must possess relevant technical skills, must be well organized, detailed oriented and possess strong written and verbal communication skills.


This position cycles through three periods of production, installation, and support.

Key Responsibilities

How You’ll Do It

Crush or TV production weeks

  • Travel to location (Crush venues or pro golf tournaments) in the US upwards of 20 weeks per year, including weekends which are critical days of all events.
  • Setup, operate and tear down the Toptracer equipment. Typically 1-2 days of setup and 4 days of live event, which is typically 6-7 days on the road.
  • You will be trained and the first few events will happen alongside colleagues.
  • When fully trained, most weeks you may be the only representative from Toptracer on site, but work with a travelling team of professionals from several companies and partners.
  • You will have live support from Toptracer resources around the globe while on site.

Toptracer Range Installation weeks

  • Travel to location (existing driving ranges) in the US, for a duration of time coordinated with your manager, not typically requiring weekends.
  • Setup and verify permanent installation of Toptracer Range equipment working around customer activity at the range, which may require night work.

Home Office weeks

  • When not travelling, spend time at the Topgolf Dallas Home Office.
  • Help gather customer requirements.
  • Help define product roadmap from experience gained in the field.
  • Give remote technical support to other techs on the road.


Key Qualifications

What We’re Looking For


  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of construction or building experience
  • Ability to work in teams
  • Very comfortable using a Windows computer
  • You have experience playing golf OR experience from TV production / professional video (we can teach you one or the other but if you have no clue about either it might be too much)
  • You have a technical mindset. You will be hands on with cameras, computers and cables.
  • You step up to the challenge when there is pressure to deliver, such as during a live telecast or event deadline that has to be met.
  • You are social with a friendly disposition. You will represent Topgolf and Toptracer in the broadcast production environment, with many interactions with other people and vendors.


  • Carpentry skills
  • A plus if you have some experience writing software in python, java, c# or c/c++.
