Overview

Candidate will collaborate with multiple Topgolf departments including Construction, Operations, and TG Media to develop operationally efficient building programs and aesthetic design products that reflect the company vision for delivering the unique Topgolf guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Candidate will work closely with the Topgolf Real Estate and Finance teams to understand proposed revenue models and forecast development costs to ensure that new designs can meet model parameters.
  • Acting as Topgolf’s (Owner’s) representative in all aspects related to the architectural design process, Candidate will have the responsibility to direct and manage third-party consultants and partners including architects, engineers, interior designers, and contractors to bring the building program and vision to life in the form of innovative and exciting “bricks and mortar” venues.
  • Candidate will possess strong creative skills and be expected to infuse that into all aspects of the design process from the concept stage, to architectural schematic design, site planning, and engineering. Additionally they will possess an intimate knowledge of the architecture/engineering/construction (AEC) development process, and be capable to manage teams of resources towards specific budgets and schedule timelines.
  • Candidate will help develop and own the next iterations of the Topgolf architectural brand standards, and therefore provide quality assurance and control (QA/QC) to ensure those brand standards are met and maintained.
  • In addition to leading the effort towards developing new Topgolf venues and interior designs, the Candidate will also provide design guidance to the growing number of capital improvements required at existing venues.
  • Candidate will wear many ‘hats’ and be expected to not only spearhead the new venue design effort, but also step back to provide occasional drawing and visual graphic presentation and/or drafting support when required.

Key Qualifications

  • Candidate will have a minimum 4-year Bachelor of Science in Architecture or a 5-year Bachelor of Architecture degree, as well as 8-10 years of experience working in the architecture and construction industry - and at least 1-2 years identified as the Lead Designer on (a) multi-million dollar design project(s).
  • American Institute of Architects (AIA) professional licensure is a plus but not required.
  • Technical proficiency in a computer-aided design (CAD) software such as AutoCAD is mandatory. Some level of proficiency in the following is expected: 3D modeling software (Revit, Google Sketchup, or other); Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, and Powerpoint, as well as a working knowledge of Microsoft Project scheduling software.
