Overview

Under general direction, the HR Systems and Analytics Manager collaborates with HR functional groups and inter-departmental business partners to define or configure tools and/ or applications to introduce efficiencies in manual processes, leverage data and analytics to recognize and share actionable insight and value for the Topgolf organization, and lead strategic department initiatives. This position provides input on the selection of HR applications and spearheads project management for implementations and upgrades. The HR Systems and Analytics Manager will manage the documentation and maintenance of systems, ensure data integrity and security, and initiate HR needs analysis and the design/execution of complex reports by request. Our new addition to the team will achieve success through turning conversations and questions in to analyzable data that can be understood and discussed within all levels of the organization. Associates in this position may interact with a supervisor several times a week, perhaps daily, to receive guidance and feedback. Some non-routine activities may require a supervisor’s advance approval.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technology
    • Manages and maintains HRIS and other HR systems, including account maintenance, security, optimization, upgrades, enhancement opportunities and projects related to system functionality and operability, including interfaces and related processes
    • Partner with vendors and Technology Innovation (TI) group in the development, testing, and rollout of integrations, interfaces, and upgrades to ensure system continuity and performance, resolve issues, etc.
    • Maintain awareness of vendor plans and potential impact of ongoing system updates and changes, negotiate priorities with stakeholders to ensure minimal disruption and coordinate the usage/refresh of non-production environments
    • Design and coordinate User Acceptance testing including coordination of resources, documentation of issues found and follow up through resolution.
    • Provide support for HRIS including, but not limited to, researching and resolving problems, unexpected results or process flaws; perform scheduled activities; recommend solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.
      • Serve as internal consultant to supervisor and management team, as necessary, on system requirements and needs.
    • Train new team members on system usage and reporting functionality
    • Collaorates with HR Leaders to set the vision for HR technology. Proactively define multi-year technology roadmap
      • Deliver requirements for systems and projects assigned by supervisor.
    • Lead Systems Change Management team, made up of cross-functional HR Associates, to ensure configuration changes and system modfications are fully vetted (to include an impact analysis) prior to rollout.
    • Gather business requirements from functional HR leaders, including tracking changes, analyzing proposed changes for impact to project schedules, coordinating review and approval of changes, revising any requirements documentation and User notification.
    • Test requirements at all stages of the project, including functional validation and smoke testing of deliverables to ensure compliance with the functional requirements as specified.
    • Continually evaluate existing HR tools and processes; make recommendations for enhancements or improvements in support of strategic initiatives or as triggered by changes to available environments, technology, or business needs.
      • Develop subject matter expertise on the front-end and back-end data systems that support and interact with Topgolf HR systems, and the flow of data between those systems.
      • Documents internal processes and audit procedures to ensure data integrity of systems. Responsible for regular monitoring of HRIS and other system data to mitigate errors and/or improve capabilities.
      • Design and maintain end user and support team documentation; partner with both the Compensation and Organizational Development teams in the creation of training/ learning materials.
      • Develop complex custom reports utilizing varied and diverse data sources to support end-user requests and in continual audits to ensure data integrity.
      • Collaborate with end-users, vendors, and TI as applicable in the configuration or research of new applications or systems.
  • Analytics
    • Lead the creation and delivery of HR metrics and analysis overall and by category, ensuring that the data is relevant, timely and tells a meaningful story.
    • Help define priorites and inform long-term insights and intelligence strategy including an analytics roadmap, with short and long-term goals and a focus on gaining and improving people related predictive capabilities that drive impact in the operations of our business.
    • Support talent planning efforts to ensure processes are grounded in scalable and actionable HR analytics with priorities backed by data.
    • Manage a HR Analyst that uses business data and statistical methods to provide insight into business performance and suggest area for and methods of improving operations.
    • Implement analytical approaches and methodologies and assists in the interpretation of results and provides reporting (i.e. turnover, time to fill, etc).

Key Qualifications

BASIC AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year college degree or equivalent relevant experience required; Business Management related degree with emphasis in HR or Information Systems preferred
  • At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in HRIS, systems integration/ maintenance/ development, with extensive working knowledge of general business and HR practices required
  • At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in HR Analytics or Business Intelligence
  • Experience in a multi-unit entertainment, sports, restaurant and/or hospitality environment preferred

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, JOB SKILLS, ABILITIES

  • Proficient academic and practical knowledge of technology and how it is applied to solve HR systems challenges.
  • Proficient working knowledge of general Human Resources including familiarity with all functional areas (Compliance/ ER, Org Development, Recruiting, Compensation, Benefits, Payroll)
  • Proficient knowledge of implementation and design of enterprise-scale HR applications, including business process redesign and user interface mapping, testing and deployment.
  • Expertise building models utilizing disparate sources.
  • Proven proficiency with process / data analysis and technical document creation
  • Proficient in a variety of business applications and report generating tools including relational database concepts, MS Excel (expert level), MS Access, SQL and demonstrated expertise with HRIS report writers
  • Proficient leadership skills as demonstrated by a disciplined approach to innovation and the capacity to create and embrace the vision for the end goal or project deliverable, including a determined commitment to project completion
  • Proficient ability to communicate effectively with others using written and spoken English including the ability to provide clear, constructive feedback to team members
  • Proficient ability by interfacing with the user environment to analyze business operations and perform post-implementation support and validation.
  • Proficient project planning skills, including the ability to organize, prioritize and control multiple projects and responsibilities in order to meet deadlines in an environment with overlapping and potentially conflicting priorities
  • Proficient knowledge of implementation methodology, phases, and delivery of software
  • Working ability to remain effective under stress, and respond to pressure in a manner acceptable to others and to the organization
  • Demonstrated capacity for gathering/scrutinizing data to identify issues, opportunities, patterns, and sustainable business solutions
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Outstanding organizational, customer service and project management skills with the ability to communicate with and influence all levels of the business and HR communities
