The Director of Inclusion and Outreach has the important role of leading diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives that support Topgolf’s goal of creating a best-in-class workplace, particularly as it applies to diversity and inclusiveness. The Director will also manage Topgolf’s workforce analysis initiatives and ensure compliance with applicable federal and state employment requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • How You’ll Do It

  • Assess barriers to diversity and develop strategies focused on recruiting and retaining a diverse workforce.
  • Review and analyze trends to develop recommendations for strategies and initiatives with the goal of increasing diversity and inclusion.
  • Build relationships with National Director of Operations (NDOs), Home Office leadership and Regional HR Managers (RHRMs), to develop a deep understanding of the organization's workforce diversity, inclusiveness and retention opportunities.
  • Design initiatives on cultural competency, gender differences, disability, sexual orientation and gender identity, sexual harassment, and other topics designed to increase awareness and support for equitable and inclusive values.
  • Work closely and partner with the Training and Organizational Development teams to develop and implement company-wide training to promote cultural understanding and competency and a climate of equity and inclusion.
  • Develop metrics for measuring the effectiveness of corporate diversity initiatives, workforce analysis and prepare quarterly reports for senior management on the value of the initiatives.
  • Work with Talent Acquisition to develop recruitment strategies that attract underrepresented candidates.
  • Direct, guide, and monitor Topgolf’s Emerging Talent Internship Program (recruitment, hiring, orientation, training, and assessment) and provide support to campus Diversity Councils and multicultural event programming.
  • Participate in and advise on the recruitment and retention of underrepresented groups.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and assesse diversity of candidates in the hiring and screening process.
  • Partner with and support Human Resources and RHRMs to drive diversity programs
  • Integrate diversity into compensation practices, performance review process, and other leadership programs.
  • Consult to RHRMs and the business, delivering customized and tailored inclusion solutions for the business.
  • Develop strategic partnerships with organizations that can help drive Topgolf’s diversity and inclusion initiatives.
  • Provides innovative ways Topgolf can benefit from and capitalize on extensions to grassroots diversity organizations that are growing the game of golf and provide brand extension.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the VP of Human Resources.

Key Qualifications

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited program in business administration, HR, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred
  • At least 5 years of HR management experience required; at least 7 years of experience in Compliance and/or Diversity specifically
  • Experience in a multi-unit entertainment, sports, restaurant and/or hospitality environment preferred
  • Able to travel overnight, as necessary; up to 25% domestic travel required.
  • Certified Diversity Professional (CDP), Certified Diversity Executive (CDE) or other related diversity certification
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential preferred.
  • Knowledge of, experience and connections within the golf industry preferred.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills including the ability to reduce a complex concept into something that is easily understood by non-experts and presentation skills to effectively deliver information to an audience of varying responsibility within the company
  • Proficiency with Windows-based business computers and Microsoft Office programs; specifically, Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Outstanding relationship building skills, including the capacity to predict and manage behavior, build and leverage cross-functional partnerships within and outside of the organization, and leverage influential leadership
  • Ability to remain effective under stress and respond to pressure in an acceptable manner
  • Ability to remain flexible and adapt to changing priorities with promptness and efficiency
  • Strategic thinking, problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities
  • Ability to gather and analyze data to identify anomalies, opportunities, and trends
