Overview

The Architect - International Design is the creative force behind the design management of international Topgolf venues. This design superhero will balance their artistic talents with top notch collaboration skills to work with external partners and internal stakeholders on the planning and design of new venues.

The Architect - International Design works with external design partners, the TG Development Team, the Director of International Construction and International Partners to help fulfill Topgolf’s mission: To produce extraordinary sports and entertainment experiences through actively engaged Associates by designing innovative facilities in alignment with the Topgolf brand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create conceptual ideas that help the partners meet operational objectives, budget, and localized themes dictated by the different regions.
  • Modify the design of the existing prototypes offered to the partner with the created concepts.
  • Act as a liaison between design consultants and International Partners and provide support and expertise to the TG development team as needed
  • Influence, create and deliver the required documentation (concepts and DD’s) to our partner to enable their local project team to create Construction Documents.
  • Collaborate with TG team to identify and translate construction details needed to keep key aesthetic features of the building consistent.
  • Review the final Construction Documents to protect brand consistency.
  • Provide continuous architectural support to local project teams as needed.
  • Participate in various feasibility exercises - such as site layouts, sun studies, code requirements, etc..
  • Build existing designs into a 3D BIM model (Revit).
  • Assist with “ad-hoc” projects including, but not limited to:
  • Reduced outfield
  • Possibility of dome system
  • Assist with Top-tracer design needs

 

  • May be called upon if/when the need for a new design prototype is needed.    

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Planning or Engineering, required
  • Expertise in AutoCAD and other design software
  • Advanced knowledge of Architecture Planning and/or Engineering practices and systems
  • 7-10 years of design experience working in the design and/or construction of restaurants, retail or entertainment venues
  • License or professional certification, a plus
  • Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards
  • Extensive experience in communication and collaboration with internal and external partners (cat herding experience a plus)
  • Proficiency in standard business software such as the Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
  • Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Extreme attention to detail
