Topgolf Media is looking for a creative, energetic, experienced Games Community Manager to join the San Francisco-based team in support of our new mobile sports game.  This person is responsible for engaging directly with our community, being the face of our team and continuously developing our relationship with players. They will support the fast-paced growth and development of this new project, focusing on helpful and creative communication with players. Collaborating with design, product, support and marketing teams, they’re expected to be a known and trusted source of official information, finding creative ways to connect and in turn, be a champion of community voices.  Critical to this role is a clear understanding of community – what it is, how to build/grow it and how to communicate effectively and respectfully, the ability and energy to immerse themselves in our community across multiple platforms, and excellent writing skills.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a representative of the Tee Time Adventures team on public channels to develop and maintain a greater level of communication with the community.
  • Execute and manage community initiatives, events and programs.
  • Support our messaging, content strategy and execution with a deep knowledge of upcoming game content and effective communication methodologies to support it.
  • Leverage writing and creative skills to develop compelling content to engage with our community on digital platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Twitch, YouTube, Discord (strong writing skills are a must).
  • Serve as a front-line voice of Tee Time Adventures, keeping voice/tone consistent, fun, engaging, respectful and knowledgeable.
  • Work directly with multiple teams to coordinate messaging, gathering information and execution, including design, product, support and marketing teams.
  • Immerse yourself in the community, on digital platforms where community is active, engaging and helping with questions or issues as needed, to create meaningful connections (includes social media, Discord).
  • Work with support team to flag major issues being reported by the community for the team, to ensure a timely response.
  • Keep a pulse on new features and best practices of community platforms, innovative new ideas are welcome and encouraged! 
  • Contribute to ongoing community development efforts, including improving channel strategies, events, developer communications and more.
  • Regularly analyze and report on community sentiment data to ensure ongoing improvement, optimization, and innovation .
  • Champion the voice of the community in internal conversations, ensuring their sentiments are represented in product planning, etc. 

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferred
  • 2+ years of similar community management experience, required
  • 1+ year of experience interfacing directly with community members, required
  • 1+ year of managing/overseeing community platform development,required
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously 
  • Exceptional writing skills
  • Understanding and interest in the ever-changing world of social media
  • Interest in golf a plus
