Overview

Topgolf Media is looking for a Sr Server Software Engineer to help design and develop server applications that support our mobile applications and interface with existing Topgolf technologies. You will be working with a small and close-knit team of engineers, designers and product managers to build the next generation of mobile products for Topgolf.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to and drive development of the backend technology stack
  • Design and write high quality code
  • Design and implement database schema
  • Deploy, evaluate performance, optimize and test software on server
  • Collaborate with other internal departments (client development, design, QA)
  • Document software and features for internal and external engineering teams

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience, required
  • Masters degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience, preferred
  • 5+ years of experience with Java or other OOP programming language, required
  • 3+ years of experience with Scala programming, preferred
  • 1+ years of experience with Database Schema Design and Maintenance, required
  • Excellent problem solving skills and judgment
  • Proficient in debugging and performance optimizations
  • Highly-motivated self-starter with a passion for making high quality software
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong sense of ownership and drive
  • Travel, less than 5% limited travel potentially out of state conferences.
