Overview

Topgolf Media is looking for an experienced, hands-on Engineering Manager to build and manage a team of engineers on a new in development mobile game. You will partner with design, art, product, QA and the Agile team to support the team in delivering high quality features to our players.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Directly manage and build a team of software engineers
  • Be a servant leader, growing the team with a focus on delivering great game features
  • Collaborate with other departments (production, design, art, QA)
  • Communicate and iterate on technical designs and decisions with the team
  • Mentor engineering team to improve and extend the existing code base
  • Partner with product managers to help drive the product roadmap
  • Partner with project managers on Agile process, running efficient sprints and releases

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science or Engineering, preferred
  • 3+ years experience having shipped at least one game managing a team of 10+ engineers, preferred
  • Experience leading software engineering teams
  • Ability to inspire, grow, lead and develop a team to high performance standards
  • Strong software engineering and problem solving skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience developing and supporting a live game service
  • Experience working with Unity or similar game engine technology
